Artist's Comments

It's not lithograph but offset :)

Another work made in my Printing Studio :D The idea came from a book 'Ivy' written by Julie Hearn. I really loved that book (and the other one - 'Merrybegot';) so I just had to create something connected with it.

The girl on my work is named Ivy. In the book she was posing for some (stupid) artist. The idea was that she was Eve with an apple and the snake. The snake almost killed her but if you want to know why you'll have to read it :D

It was quite fun doing this work because it couldn't be done at once... It's an offset so before adding another layer of colour I had to wait for the previous one to dry. All in all, it took me about a month (when only one layer lasted I was so bored with school that I skipped classes ;P)

Hope you like it because my teachers liked it too ^^ and when they like something then it had to be something GOOD :XD:

This is reminiscent of a 60's rock concert poster.
I especially like the Art Nouveau hair and the crosshatching. The snake looks a bit angular.
look wonderfull!
