My first ever pixel art :3

Do you know any fancy tutorials about pixel art? I would like to know more about this way of creating (sweet little hamsters ;P).

You can read what is this big pink thing he sits on on my Fabulous Blog.

PS CS3 + MS Paint (:XD:) + about hour

I've heard that Pixen works great. Plus, you can get it for free.

Hope this helps!

I'm no pixel artists but I do have some advice for you. If you're going to leave the image big the pixeling needs to be more in-depth. If you're going to pixel so loosely you should make the image smaller after finishing.

For example, look at my avatar. I pixeled in on a 400x400 canvas then resized the image.

The hamster is very cute, and there are plenty of tutorials here on DA and available if you use Google to find them.

You're off to a great start! Pixeling is mostly about patience from what I've seen. It can be terribly tedious at times, but the end result is normally worth it. :D

that's just disturbing . . . I know it's supposed to be cute, and some of it is (the face, and holding the kernel of grain) but. . . have you ever watched Pom Poko? This makes me think of that; sorry, I know my mind goes to strange places. :-) Nice color though.
